OUR BREWERY

Raquette River Brewing is located in Tupper Lake at the crossroads of the Adirondack Mountains in Northern New York State. The brewery was founded in 2013 by natives Mark Jessie and Joe Hockey. What began as just two friends brewing together in a garage with a $4,000 home brew kit quickly transformed into a dream. After mastering their skill, they decided to make their dream a reality and open the doors on Balsam Street. Raquette River Brewing was born from a passion for craft beer and brewing. Brewing on a small scale affords the opportunity to experiment and innovate with a variety of ingredients, some local, some exotic.

We believe that every batch of beer should be as unique as the people enjoying it. Your ideas for our future beers are always welcome. Cheers!

Beer is awesome!! A big variety of seasonal brews, IPAs, wheats, and subtle berry beers. The service is efficient and friendly! This barndominium is tastefully done with wildlife carvings, huge fireplace and rustic seating. I will return to this beautiful setting!!

So let's clear the air here first. There are actually five businesses here. 4 Food trucks and the brewery. The food trucks are totally separate from the brewery with their own time schedules. So you might show up and find all of them open, or two opened, and vice versa. And, of course since it's food trucks, the menus are different and prices vary. 😑

The brewery looks nice and have a good selection. Food service is extremely lacking with wait times varying from 1/2 an hour up to 1 1/2 hour wait time for food. Not very conducive when you got hungry kids. Pricing wise, it's food trucks and they're already expansive.

Overall it's a place for college kids, couples without young kids, couples that have someone watching the kids or doing something else with them, or retirees. Or if you just dont mind sitting around with kids.

Loved this brewery - we had pizza, then more food from the 3 food trucks on the property. The music was great - though a bit loud. We decided to just sit back to enjoy it, then talk later. Was a great sunny day, lots of people there, you could tell it was a local highlight and staff was super friendly. Beer is awesome!

Cool spot with food trucks and big bar. Most of the times I’m guessing it is dog and kid friendly. However on my visit with 5 kids and a puppy a likely belligerent drunk kid and the people he was with (looked like maybe family, maybe locals) started screaming derogatory remarks at our kids and puppy because they thought the kids running with the pup and playing was unacceptable. Many insults to our parenting and kids. Mind you, other kids played on and off as well, all was fine with the playing. The maybe mid 20s man and his supporting cast yelled n cursed at our parenting and kids stating that our kids aren’t not normal (we are great parents and I’m 41). Everyone around thought it was rediculous but didn’t speak up cuz the people looked drunk and crazy. Put us in a very awkward spot cuz it was mean and as good parents we tried to de-escalate them which didn’t work. Our kids were a little bit of a mess about it the whole night. Anyways point being they were yelling extremely loud with profanity and it was very uncomfortable and there were no workers in sight and no one working at the brewery intervened. The tables were full outside and it was loud enough for everyone including inside to hear. We were in the back outside portion. Someone working should have intervened being they promote dogs and family friendliness. Due to this event we don’t plan to go back. It was a bad experience and the business did nothing to resolve.
